The MBA/M.S. Career Resources Office at the Lally School organizes a variety of events throughout the semester to provide students with the opportunity to build skills, expand their networks and gain the knowledge and tools they need to secure a position in their field upon graduation.
I was able to sign my offer letter before graduation because I built my job search on two simple ideas, both of which I sharpened with assistance from the Lally School. The ideas were: a firm understanding of what I wanted to do and an understanding that networking without a plan is superficial!
The Lally School was crucial to my success by helping me to cultivate a robust group of professional relationships and teaching me how to sustain these relationships well into my future. Degree candidates at Lally realize that there is a difference between systematically developing genuine relationships that will complement their strengths and weaknesses and grow them as professionals versus a shallow and superficial approach to networking opportunistically.
