A team including Professor Sebastian Souyris, Ph.D., and his coauthors has been named a finalist for the INFORMS 2024 Innovative Applications in Analytics Award. The team was selected for their work, “Amplifying Marketing Impact: Optimizing Network TV Advertising Inventory with Advanced Analytics.”

The award recognizes the “creative combination of analytics techniques in innovative applications to provide novel insights and create economic or social value.”  

In addition to Souyris, the team includes Sridhar Seshadri of Gies College of Business at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; Dana Popescu of Darden Business School at University of Virginia; and Vinod Kumawat, Anand Punjabi, Shiv Sehgal, Divyani Sharma, and Varun Verma, all of RSG Media. 

The finals will take place at the INFORMS Business Analytics Conference in Orlando in April 2024.
